Colorado’s Department of Local Affairs’ (DOLA) Local Community Funding Guideprovides information on more than 100 funding sources available through a variety of Federal and State programs. The Recycling Partnership has awarded nearly $50 million in grants to 370 communities since 2014 to support curbside, drop-off, contamination reduction, and multifamily recycling. Funding is available to communities , materials recovery facilities, processors, and secondary processors. Visit the Recycling Partnership website to learn more.


Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) recently opened a new round of grant funding to provide Colorado communities with resources to reduce human-bear conflicts. Local governments, NGOs, HOAs, community groups, businesses, tribes, universities and individuals are all eligible to receive funding through the Human-Bear Conflict Reduction Community Grant Program. Applicants can apply for grants between $50,000 and $500,000. The application deadline is May 29, 2026. For more information and to submit an application, visit the CPW grant program website.
