Description

The Apex SHIFT Center is now open in Steamboat Springs — a dedicated hard-to-recycle drop-off facility designed to give our community a better way to handle items that don't belong in your trash or curbside recycling.

This includes materials like electronics, batteries, light bulbs, scrap metal, cardboard, paint care, and other items that require special handling. 

By creating a space specifically for these materials, the SHIFT Center helps expand recycling access and supports long-term waste diversion across Northwest Colorado. 

Join SHIFT for our Earth Day Grand Opening & Battery Drive and most importantly — a one-day-only FREE battery recycling drive. 

You can bring all types of batteries, and we'll make sure they are handled and recycled properly. This is a great opportunity to safely clear out items that should never go in the trash.
