The Materials Audit Lead plays a key role in advancing CAA’s mission to improve recycling and resource recovery across Colorado. This position oversees CAA’s statewide Waste Characterization Program, managing staff and contractors responsible for daily operations, field sampling, and data analysis at the materials audit center. By leading waste and recycling audits, ensuring high-quality sampling standards, and implementing advanced data collection methods, the Materials Audit Lead transforms raw data into actionable insights that drive measurable improvements in recyclable recovery. This role also fosters innovation in sorting, measurement, and reporting processes—helping shape data-driven strategies that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Colorado’s materials management system.
