This training is designed to help businesses in the Retail Food Space learn more about Denver’s Universal Recycling and Composting Ordinance and ways to save on compost diversion costs by donating consumable food waste. Additionally we will tour the We Don’t Waste facility to learn more about how donations are processed into the community.

You'll learn:

• How to keep diversion affordable by preventing contamination at the source of collection
• How to reduce business costs & contamination in diversion streams
• Retail food service best practices: how & why to donate, converting to durable goods, & more
• Event planning tips to support clean diversion & compliance
